What You’ll Learn
This course is designed for both newcomers and those already working in training roles. No prior assessment experience is required - we provide everything you need to develop your skills and meet national assessor standards. The qualification is made up of three core units, covering the full scope of assessor responsibilities:- Understanding the Principles & Practices of Assessment Develop a solid foundation in assessment theory, including the purpose of assessment, legal requirements, and how to make valid and reliable assessment decisions.
- Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment Learn how to confidently assess learners in real work settings, using observation, professional discussions, witness testimonies, and other workplace-based methods.
- Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge & Understanding Gain practical experience assessing learners’ knowledge and performance through a variety of techniques, such as assignments, tests, simulations, and structured questioning.
